Ramps and Pathways

 We added Ramps to our sand box

 It has been a hit all summer.

 I wish you could hear the commentary of John Deere, Mighty Machine lingo going on.

 They are building and planing all day long

 up hill and down

 It's a lot of work for little hands

Tumble Time

 Someone calls out a action, and down the line you go.

 This has become our new indoor maddness

 At first it was just out of control, but now they are aware of each other and taking turns,

 They are creative and free

They are playful just the way kids should be. So fun you should try it. I won't tell.

We Speak for the Tree's

 

             Since we saw the Lorax we are all about doing recycled crafts
                                       
                                         this one was fun and easy.

 

               I cut out letters and fun pictures from my old magazines

                and pre wrote each childs name on a piece of card stock

 

                  I instructed them to spell there name under with the

                        letters given in the same order.

 

                     The kids are between the ages of 2 and 4 and                   
                    
                  everyone was pretty much able to do it one there own

 

                            we used glue sticks and applied the glue to the card stock first

                            since the magazine paper is so thin. Simple instruction but

                          anything to save a melt down.

                                      

                           Don't they look funky!!! They liked the idea that

                        they recycled the magazines. They speak for the Trees!

When it rains

We finally had rain today for the first time all summer. I was quickly trying to think of indoor fun and remembered this little race track we made with some tape last year.

 All you needs is three boys

 Three lanes

    And three trains

    Fun Fun Fun

This is how we paint

This year I have had a group of boys who are not so into crafts as I would like. So I find the more creative I am with them the more interested they are in the experience. I wish I had videoed this because I set up the craft called them in showed them what to do and within 5 minutes they were out the door. At least some paint landed on the paper.

 Using the pie tins worked well because the balloon takes up so much space

 This is a craft that you want to have set up before they even see it, once they saw the balloons that's all they could think about. I had some extra for them to play with after.

 I also write everyone names on the pages before they sit down because I know how quickly things can get mixed up.

 And then there was one.

My little guy loves to paint and always ends up being the last one at the table. Since he made about 10 of these I saved them and used them as birthday cards and tags for gifts. Thinking we might do a red and green wrapping paper like this come Christmas. Easy and 100% kid made.

Where have we been???

We Moved

and everyone moved with us

life got busy

and I took a long blog break almost a year

                                   

But now it's time to write again,

 of our daily adventures

 because they are just to much fun not to share with you all.

Fall Stamping

                                                   We did a fun little craft the other day!

We stamped with our gourds

It was fun easy and end results were wonderful

All you need is some stamps some gourds and some paper

We might make these again and laminate them for fall placemat's but the kids were to excited to take these ones home to show Mom and Dad!
